WEEK IN REVIEW - FORT WAYNE



            Fort Wayne, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced the following activity in federal court:

 

            James Hill, 32, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to counts five and six of an indictment charging him with possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance (Ecstacy, Cocaine, Marijuana), and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Indiana State Police. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.

 

            Beatriz Bojorquez, 33, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Roger Cosbey to count seven of a superseding indictment charging her with maintaining a drug-involved premises in the case US v Rosas et al. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team, the Allen County Police Department, and the Indiana State Police. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Anthony Geller.

 

               

            The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
